Barton & Loguidice’s William Guida gives $2,000 grant towards water project

Barton & Loguidice announced this year’s winner of their annual Community Service Award. The award is given to B&L employees who are working on ongoing and extraordinary projects to help provide a better life to those in need of help. B&L awarded this year’s grant to William Guida, who generously donated the $2,000 grant towards EWB’s water infrastructure project in Guatemala. This remarkably gracious donation puts EWB over 66% towards our financial goals for the project. Thank you William Guida and Barton & Loguidice for your generosity and help to making this project happen!

Thanks Will!

Happy Hour raises glasses and $800 for water project

A big thank you to all who took part in the happy hour event which raised nearly $800 for EWB Syracuse’s water infrastructure project. It was a great success complete with vegan tacos, cold beer, and EWB’s own Dan Kahn putting on a great show.

We couldn’t do this without all of your support. At this point, we are over 60% to financing our project. Thank you everyone and we hope to see you at the next one!

EWB Syracuse and ArtRage Gallery team up to raise funds for water supply project

The Syracuse Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders and ArtRage Gallery presented “La Camioneta” by Mark Kendall. The film follows the journey of a decommissioned school bus from the United States to Guatemala.

Kendall’s film takes the viewer on “a journey between North and South, between life and death, and through an unfolding collection of moments, people, and places that serve to quietly remind us of the interconnected worlds in which we live.”

The screening helped to raise awareness and $500 for EWB-Syracuse’s potable water project in Guatemala. Thanks to ArtRage for hosting, and to all those who came out!
